Our appointments are impartial and confidential and are open to University of Bradford students and recent graduates. We are available to help and look forward to supporting you with your careers queries.

Careers appointments 2020/21

We are pleased to be able to offer our usual careers appointments while ensuring the ongoing safety of all our students, graduates and staff.

For your safety, we are unable to offer on-campus face-to-face careers support for the time being.

But remote video (Microsoft Teams or Zoom), phone and email appointments are available every weekday so there are plenty of opportunities for you to speak with us. Thank you for your support in these difficult times.

30-minute appointments available every weekday

45-minute guidance appointments are available every weekday

  • exploring your career ideas and the range of options open to you
  • getting feedback on your CV and covering letter
  • preparing for an interview
  • a mock interview (please be aware mock interviews need to be booked at least two days in advance to allow us to prepare)
  • preparing for assessment centres
  • exploring course difficulties and a possible course change

MBA guidance appointments

Our experienced and professional career consultants Hermione Berry and Kenneth Howgill offer appointments for MBA students.

Appointment Information

Please note:

  • In line with government advice and University guidance, the Career and Employability Services space in Student Central is closed for the time being.
  • But remote video, phone and email appointments are available every weekday so . 
  • Please book your appointment in advance through My Career and Employability Centre.
  • You cannot get support for academic course work through these appointments. Contact your module tutor directly if you require any help with an assignment. You can also get study skills help from the Academic Skills Advice service.

Keeping records:

  • We encourage you to take your own notes at your guidance appointments. Any notes a career consultant takes in your appointment are stored confidentially and destroyed after two years in accordance with the University confidentiality policy. 
  • We keep a confidential record of your visit on our client database. This helps us to keep in touch with you and is limited to the nature of your enquiry.
