Our Master of Optometry MOptom (Hons) builds the skills, knowledge and patient-first approach you need for a rewarding future in eye care.

Real experience while you study

Placements in real optical practices give you hands-on early experience. Later in the course, you'll do a 44-week placement with an experienced optometrist, supported by the College of Optometrists.

Recognition that opens doors

Our course is approved by the General Optical Council (GOC) and delivered with the College of Optometrists. When you graduate, you're all set to apply for the professional GOC register of fully qualified optometrists.

Practice for the real thing

You'll develop and refine your optometry skills in our Directed Learning Suite - a dedicated clinical practice facility. You'll also get the chance to diagnose and treat real patients in our on-campus eye clinic.
