Use this page to find your Welcome Week timetable which has details about what happens in your first week as a student.
What to expect during Welcome Week
Welcome Week is designed to help you settle into life at the University of Bradford and prepare you for your studies.
During the week you'll:
- meet your programme team and fellow students
- complete your enrolment and ID check
- learn how to use University systems such as Canvas, the Student Portal and the UoB Digital App
- understand your timetable, attendance expectations and key University processes
- find out about student finance (where applicable)
- meet our support services and learn where to get help throughout your studies
- explore campus and attend discipline-specific activities
- discover the opportunities available through the University of Bradford Union (UBU), including the Freshers' Fayre.
Your Welcome Week timetable will tell you exactly which sessions you need to attend and whether they take place on campus, online or in a hybrid format.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) students
When your record has been made current your module timetable should show in Publish.
Module information and links to online sessions can be found in Canvas.
If your module is not showing in your timetable or in Canvas please contact your Programme administrator.
Postgraduate Researchers
The induction timetable for Postgraduate Researchers can be found on the Bradford Researcher Development Framework (BDRF) site.
If you are unable to attend, you must inform your supervisor(s), the BRDF team and your Institute's Doctoral College Administrator so that we can advise you on how to catch up.
