Welcome and ID check

If you are studying on campus this coming semester, you will be asked to complete an in person Welcome and ID Check session.

If you are not studying on campus or are doing a continuing professional development course your ID will be checked remotely. Please see our New Student FAQ's for further information for Distance Learning students and CPD students

Your Welcome and ID check session

Welcome and ID Checks sessions take place on campus, we check your ID, confirm the address you are living at whilst you are studying at university and also issue you with your student card.

If you are receiving a student loan the University will only confirm your registration to Student Finance/SAAS when your Welcome and ID check is completed. Once completed your registration will be confirmed within 2 working days
