International Visiting Students Programme (IVSP)

We are delighted that you are considering joining the University of Bradford as an International Visiting Student. The IVSP Programme has been introduced by the University of Bradford to facilitate any students (undergraduate or postgraduate) from any country of the world to study with us.

You can apply to take a range of modules from a variety of subject areas offered across our four faculties. Students are able to design their own study programme, which is subject to:

  • Modules running whilst you are here
  • Timetable clashes
  • Minimum standard of knowledge of subject area

Eligibility

Students who wish to apply to study at the University of Bradford may apply to our IVSP programme, if there is no exchange agreement is in place between the University of Bradford and your home institution.

Visa 

You will need to apply for a Visa to enter the UK. However, this depends on your length of study at the University of Bradford.

Fees

If you study with us for a full academic year you will pay the full fee at the applicable EU or International rate.

You will pay half fees if you only study with us for a single semester at the applicable EU or International rate.

How to apply

You should first check that the University of Bradford offers modules in your subject area. See the Module Selection Form and pre-arrival pack below for guidance.

As a worldwide exchange student, you need to complete the application form (below) and be nominated (via this form) by your home institution/agent.

Once we have your nomination and application form, we will generate your student ID (UB Number) and offer letter. Please note this may take up to 10 working days.

When you have received your UB Number, we will ask you to email the following documents to us at studyabroad@bradford.ac.uk:

  • Module selection form (see below)
  • Official Transcript of Records - This is a list of courses or modules that you have studied to date. It should be stamped and dated by your home institution.  If you are currently studying modules which are not yet graded and included in your transcript, please also submit a list of these modules.
  • English Language Certificate - A list of accepted English Language qualifications are available online. However, for Worldwide Exchange students whose language of instruction is English we do not require an English Language Certificate. 
  • Copy of passport

Does the University of Bradford provide accommodation for IVSP students?

Yes, incoming Erasmus+ Students can apply directly to our on-campus Halls of Residence The Green for accommodation.

I’d like to ask an academic some questions regarding classes and modules, who should I contact?

The University of Bradford has a dedicated Departmental Exchange Coordinator who you can email with any academic issues.

How do I find out more regarding the grading criteria for modules at the University of Bradford?

The University of Bradford Institutional Grading Criteria will provide you with some information regarding how your assignments will be marked.
