We are delighted that you are considering joining the University of Bradford as an Erasmus+ Student.  Find out everything you need to know from our application process to module selection below.

Entry requirements

Eligibility

Students at undergraduate or postgraduate level who have completed at least one-third of your course at your home institution with good grades.

If your home university has an Erasmus+ agreement with the University of Bradford then you can participate. However please check which subject area the agreement is based in before applying.

If your home university doesn't have an Erasmus+ Agreement you can participate either through the ISEP Programme (International Student Exchange Programme) or as an International Visiting Student

Visa 

If you have a non EU/EEA passport then you will need to for a Visa to enter the UK. However, this depends on your length of study at the University of Bradford.

How to apply

You should first check that the University of Bradford offers modules in your subject area. Some subject areas are restricted, so please read the relevant section for guidance.

As an Erasmus+ student, you should be selected and nominated by your home institution.

After you have received a nomination from your institution, you will need to complete our online application form. It is important that you complete this form accurately, the information will be used to generate your student ID and offer letter. Once the form is submitted you will be contacted with the details of your University of Bradford student ID (UB Number). Please note this may take up to 10 working days.

When you have received your UB Number, we will ask you to email the following documents to us at studyabroad@bradford.ac.uk:

  • Module selection form
  • Official Transcript of Records - This is a list of courses or modules that you have studied to date. It should be stamped and dated by your home institution.  If you are currently studying modules which are not yet graded and included in your transcript, please also submit a list of these modules. We would like to receive a copy in English, where possible. 
  • English Language Certificate - A list of accepted English Language qualifications are available online. However, for Erasmus+ Exchange students whose language of instruction is English we do not require an English Language Certificate. If you do not have an English Language Certificate then we will also accept a letter from your Home University regarding your English language level. 
  • Copy of passport

Frequently Asked Questions

I need more information regarding a Visa Application.

There is a Visa Support Team that can answer any Visa questions you might have. However, if you have an EU/EEA passport you do not need to apply for a Visa to enter the UK. 

Will I need to pay any tuition fees to the University of Bradford during my Worldwide Exchange?

No tuition fees are paid to the University of Bradford. You will continue to pay tuition fees to your home university, if appropriate.

Does the University of Bradford provide accommodation for Erasmus+ students?

Yes, incoming Erasmus+ Students can apply directly to our on-campus Halls of Residence The Green for accommodation.

I’d like to ask an academic some questions regarding classes and modules, who should I contact?

We'd ask that you email studyabroad@bradford.ac.uk with any academic issues that you may have. We will then pass on your concerns or queries to the relevant academic at The University of Bradford.

How do I find out more regarding the grading criteria for modules at the University of Bradford?

The University of Bradford Institutional Grading Criteria will provide you with some information regarding how your assignments will be marked.
