Postgraduate Law

On-campus and distance learning LLMs

Want to be a lawyer with commercial awareness, an expert in human rights and development, or proficient in natural resources and environmental law and policy?

Our specialist LLM courses are open to all students and are designed to be accessible to those without a background in law.

Our LLMs examine the theoretical and regulatory practices in relevant areas of international law for those wanting to pursue law as a career, or those who want to go into industry, the government, or the third sector.

All four LLM programmes can be studied on campus at our School of Law, or via distance learning from anywhere in the world.

Distance learning Master's degrees

Our Law LLM degrees can now be studied by distance learning, from anywhere in the world.

The flexibility of distance learning means you can study at your own convenience with our virtual learning environment, and we provide live online sessions with tutors to help you contextualise your learning.

You'll have 24-hour access to the materials and resources needed to successfully complete your programme, including three key legal databases: Westlaw, Lexis Library and Hein Online, as well as textbooks and discussion boards.

Work with real clients

Our law clinic offers students the opportunity to work with members of the public and offer legal advice and guidance.

We offer essential experience for those seeking to practice as a lawyer, allowing students to provide legal solutions for real problems.

Students will also have the opportunity to develop teamwork skills and become aware of the wider practicalities of legal practice such as client confidentiality, legal ethics and record keeping.
