Careers in IT

Why we've made this site

At the University of Bradford, we believe in confronting inequality and celebrating diversity.

In IT Services, we already have a diverse workforce. We believe diversity is an essential part of problem solving, and we know and value the benefits it brings. We decided there was even more we could do to engage with and encourage a wider range of people to apply - especially people who may experience barriers or anxieties due to personal circumstances or disability.

So, our intention with this site is to provide as much information as possible about our department, the roles you can apply for, and our selection and induction processes which have recently changed to allow us to assess candidates in a more inclusive way.

Members of the IT leadership team have recorded videos about each of their areas, and there are also videos describing the roles available to apply for. Although being recorded was out of our comfort zone, we felt it was important to present this information in different ways, so we hope you find them helpful.
