Your graduation day checklist

• Arrive on campus two hours before your ceremony begins.
• Parking is available on campus on a first-come, first-served basis. 
• Register in the Social Learning Space of the Richmond Building and collect your tickets.
• Collect your gown from the Small Hall of the Richmond Building.
• Download your online graduation booklet.
• Make sure you and your guests are seated 30 minutes before the start of your ceremony.
• Additional guests can access the live screening in the Horton Barn, Horton D Building.
• The ceremony will last approximately one and a half hours.

What to do when the ceremony is finished

• Official graduation photographers will be available throughout the day in the Sports Hall at Unique Fitness. 
• Buy your graduation merchandise - a stand will be available in the atrium of the Richmond Building. 
• Claim your free graduation video clip.
• Join us after your ceremony in SC02, Student Central for a celebration to mark your amazing achievement. 
• Return your gown to the Small Hall in the Richmond Building.

Registration and ticket collection

The Registration desk will be located in the Social Learning Space, Richmond Building and will be open 08:00-16:00 on the day of your ceremony.

You will need to bring your UB number in order to register for your ceremony, this can be found on your graduation invitation email or your student card.

At registration we will issue you with your seat number and any guest tickets you have been allocated or purchased.

Guest tickets are not numbered - guests will be guided to available seats by stewards in the Great Hall.

Please ensure you do not lose your tickets as duplicates cannot be issued. 

If you have additional guests they can access the live screening in the Horton Barn, Horton D Building. They do not need a ticket to enter the screening, seats are available on a first come, first served basis.

Please ensure that you and your guests arrive on time as we cannot guarantee entry into the ceremony if you are late.

Graduation etiquette

We kindly request that both students and guests remain in the auditorium until the end of the ceremony. Guests, please stay seated and silent throughout the event, except to applaud each graduate as they proceed across the stage.

Your graduation video clip

A video clip will be taken when you walk across the stage, you will receive further information about this after your ceremony.

2. Look out for an email invite from our partners MyGraduationClip after your ceremony
3. Download and start sharing your clip with family and friends!
