Volunteering

Whether you want to help promote the University of Bradford in your country, inspire current students, offer work placements and jobs for students and graduates, or give funds to support our research and development projects, there are many opportunities for alumni to get involved and volunteer.

Explore the opportunities listed below and get in touch with the alumni office if you have any questions.

Alumni Ambassadors and Representatives

We're looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated and committed volunteers to serve as Alumni Ambassadors or International Alumni Representatives in different locations worldwide.

Our Alumni Ambassadors and Representatives play an important role helping promote the University on an international stage through their active involvement in leading local alumni engagement initiatives, sharing insights and experiences with prospective students, and supporting our international recruitment events and marketing activities.

Contribute an alumni blog or profile

Volunteering as a contributor to the Braduate Blog or Braduate magazine is a great way to share your insights and experiences whilst also getting your work published. You can also contribute an alumni profile reflecting on your Bradford experience and where your subsequent journey has taken you.

You can share content already published elsewhere or an article written by yourself for personal or business purposes for reuse in our alumni publications. Contact us with your ideas.

Supporting students and graduates

Mentor a student

We are always happy to welcome new mentors from a range of industries and backgrounds, and we are looking for people who can offer valuable support and encouragement, give an insight into the workplace and work with students to develop their employability skills.

Previous mentors have found the experience rewarding as it offers real scope for personal and professional development, and at Career and Employability Services we are committed to supporting our mentors and mentees to benefit fully from the scheme.

Supporting student and graduate employability

Get involved by providing support and opportunities for students and graduates including:

  • Offering internships, placements and graduate job opportunities in your organisation
  • Delivering employability workshops and talks
  • Being involved in developing the curriculum
  • Fulfilling your business needs and requirements
