British Science Festival programme at University of Bradford launched
The full programme for the British Science Festival, being hosted by the University of Bradford in September 2015, has been announced.
The Festival, taking place from Monday 7th September to Thursday 10th September, is one of Europe’s biggest science festivals and brings together over 350 leading scientists in an event that showcases the latest scientific breakthroughs and discoveries from across the globe.
Tens of thousands of visitors will attend the talks, workshops and evening events during four days of ground-breaking science, technology and innovation.

The city’s own annual science festival, the British Science Festival Fringe, will follow the national event, from Friday 11th to Friday 18th September, and includes a fantastic school events programme for students aged 8 to 18, making for a very special and high-profile celebration of science with the eyes of the scientific world on Bradford.
Professor Richard Greene, Dean of the Faculty of Life Sciences, said: “We are thrilled that the British Science Festival is returning to Bradford and will be followed by the British Science Festival Fringe. Bradford University prides itself on its world-class research and knowledge exchange activities and the Festival provides a wonderful opportunity to showcase the University and the city itself.
“We are also excited to welcome scientists from across the country who will also present their work at the Festival. And look forward to hearing updates on projects, such as the "cancer smart bomb", that were part of the Festival in 2011.
“This is a very exciting programme that contains something for everyone. It will be a fitting celebration of the role and importance of science and innovation in society. Similarly the Fringe will involve a week-long programme of entertaining and educational events with a particular emphasis on families and young people.”
