Assembly
The assembly is a statutory body of the University. Following a review in 2020, the approach to assembly has been reviewed and refreshed to simplify its purpose and membership, making it more inclusive and aligning it with the culture and values of the University.
Ordinance 20 sets out the purpose of the assembly which has no executive powers but does have a wide-ranging consultative and advisory role on any matter of concern to the University community.
The standing orders of assembly set out the way in which assembly functions.
Membership
The membership of the assembly consists of all members of the University staff from the date of the commencement of their employment.
There will be an elected Chair and two Deputy Chairs of assembly who will support the work of the Chair in the execution of their duties.
