Our careers sessions have three themes this year:

  • Career Essentials - covering the employability topics you need to know about
  • Professional Insights - guest speakers from a range of industries sharing insights into careers, job roles and recruitment
  • Expanding Your Horizons - opportunities abroad, further study and more.

We will be hosting a combination of webinars and on-campus sessions, make sure to check the details when booking.

What to expect from a part-time Jobs Fair and tips to help you prepare 

Our part time jobs fair is scheduled to take place on campus on Wednesday 4th October in Student Central. This webinar will help you to understand what to expect and how to make the most of this event.  The session will cover: 

  • How to plan ahead – learn which employers are attending and how to prepare beforehand. 
  • Professional behaviour and networking at the event. 
  • How you will apply for any vacancies and the types of opportunities that may be available. 
  • The types of questions to ask employers and ones to avoid. 
  • Thinking about the skills that part-time jobs require and how this may align with your experience.

Bradford Employability Award – Active Career Planner   

This webinar is an introduction to the specific Bradford Employability Award – Active Career Planner. The award is endorsed by the University and will be recorded on your Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR).

  • How to register for the specific Award (Active Career Planner) and the principles involved.  
  • The range of activities you can get involved in and the points awarded for each  
  • On successful completion of the activities (core and optional), you will receive a ‘Certificate of Active Career Planning’

Undergraduate (UG) students only

  • Duration – 10 weeks (minimum) or 12 weeks (maximum) 
  • Funding – €934.00 per month (from RISE Germany) + £900 per month (from the University of Bradford). 
  • Eligibility – you must be an undergraduate student (UG) in the 2nd year in a 3-year programme or in the 2nd/3rd year in a 4-year programme. 
  • Average marks – 65%
