Civsoc Debate Victory

Published:

On Friday 17th March, representatives of the University of Bradford Civil and Structural Engineering Society travelled to Leeds for the final of the 'Yorkshire Universities Civil Engineering Debate'.

The event was organised by Leeds Beckett CivSoc and endorsed by the ICE (Institute of Civil Engineers).

The debate topic was "Underground construction is increasingly becoming a premium choice compared to above-ground structures". UoB CivSoc were arguing for the motion while Leeds College of Building were arguing against. After an hour of hearing well-argued points from both sides, the debate was awarded to the University of Bradford CivSoc.
