Cecilia Anim to help open International Women's Day Celebration at the University of Bradford

University of Bradford Honorary Graduate, Cecilia Anim, will help to open the International Women's Day (IWD) Celebration at the University of Bradford on Wednesday 8 March 2017.

Alongside other speakers, Cecilia will address staff, students, alumni and guests in the morning opening session ahead of a range of activities planned to provide opportunities for critical conversation on gender equality including a seminar, panel discussion and exhibition.

Cecilia, a sexual health nurse from North London who was re-elected as President of the Royal College of Nursing for a second term in November 2016, was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Health by the University in 2016 for services to nursing.

The University of Bradford is committed to developing and implementing interventions to create gender-inclusive study and work environments. The GENOVATE team and staff from the Centre for Inclusion and Diversity [CfID], in collaboration with the Gender Staff Forum and the Bradford Students' Union, will be leading the University’s campaign to #BeBoldForChange on International Women's Day 2017 and beyond.
