Bradford Biomedical Sciences graduate, Stephen Baker, wins 2017 Fleming Prize

University of Bradford graduate, Professor Stephen Fleming, was last week awarded the 2017 Fleming Prize at the Microbiology Society's Annual Conference.

Stephen, who graduated from Bradford with a BSc in Biomedical Sciences in 1998, was awarded the prize in recognition for his work on enteric diseases in low- and middle-income countries. He is a Professor of Molecular Microbiology at the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit (OUCRU) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The Fleming prize is awarded annually to an early career researcher who has achieved an outstanding research record within 12 years of being awarded their PhD.

Professor Stephen gave a lecture about his research at the Microbiology Society's Annual Conference and was also featured in an interview on the MS website.
