Wichard Huigen appointed CEO of ENGIE Fabricom

Bradford MBA graduate, Wichard Huigen, has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer (UK) at ENGIE Fabricom, part of the global energy group ENGIE.

ENGIE Fabricom, a multidiscipline engineering consultancy and construction company, provides comprehensive engineering design and project management services including EPC/EPCm style delivery to the Oil, Gas, Power, Chemical and Renewables industries.

Wichard, who graduated from Bradford with an MBA in 1997, comes from Arnhem, in the Netherlands and has extensive experience in businesses spanning several countries over several years. Occupying senior management and executive positions his experience encompasses a broad range of industries, namely Telecommunications and Oil, Gas and Power as well as 14 years military experience in the Royal Dutch Army as Company Commander.

He has held a number of senior roles during his career including Operations Director for the GDF SUEZ Group (now ENGIE), Managing Director of Fabricom NL, Managing Director of Hertel Middle East working with UK and Irish Management and Managing Director for Experts Cofely before becoming Vice President for Stork in the Netherlands.

Operating from various key locations within the UK including London, Chester, Great Grimsby, Immingham, Stokesley, Middlesbrough, Newcastle upon Tyne and Aberdeen, ENGIE Fabricom’s offices and facilities are linked through their own dedicated communications network extending their project sites across the UK.
