Ghana and Nigeria Alumni Events - June and July 2016
More than 100 University of Bradford alumni attended networking and 50th anniversarycelebratory events held in Accra, Ghana, and Abuja and Lagos, Nigeria, in June and July
On Thursday 30 June a number of Braduates attended a networking event at the Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra, Ghana. More photos from the event, which was hosted by Dr Andrew Carruthers of the Faculty of Engineering and Informatics, can be viewed on Facebook.
About 40 University of Bradford alumni attended a networking event at the Velancia Hotel in Abuja, Nigeria, on Thursday 14 July. The event was a great success considering it was the first ever alumni gathering held in the Federal Capital District of Nigeria. The event saw the formation of an Abuja Alumni Group which members can subscribe to by emailing bradfordalumniabuja@gmail.com or by joining the newly formed facebook group. On Wednesday 20 July almost 50 Bradford alumni attended a drinks and networking gathering at the Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotel in Lagos. The Lagos Alumni Group is an active alumni community in Nigeria and this was the most recent of a number of similar social and professional networking events held in Lagos over the last few years.
