Four PhD Studentships in Dementia Care now available

Published:

With the University of Bradford Doctoral Training Centre in Dementia Care and Services Research - Transitions in Dementia

Applications are invited for four, full-time, three-year studentships. The studentships provide an unprecedented opportunity to join a dynamic cohort of students focusing on developing evidence-based approaches to improving transitions in dementia, by working closely with family carers and people with dementia.

These studentships offer the opportunity to further our understanding of the specific needs of people with dementia and develop and test possible future models of care and support. Importantly, they will seek to identify solutions which will have a direct impact on people’s lives.

The studentships are available following our successful tender to the Alzheimer’s Society for a Doctoral Training Centre in Dementia Care and Services Research.

This focus on transitions in dementia care brings together our internationally recognised research in Dementia Care; Patient Safety and Medicines Optimisation. The University seeks to improve the quality of life and quality of care for people affected by dementia by conducting and implementing research of international quality and local relevance.

The successful candidates will be based in the University of Bradford’s Doctoral Training Centre within the Faculty of Health Studies.

Application deadline: 9.00am on Monday 1st June 2015.
