About this webinar

Developed and delivered by the National Science and Media Museum.

In this session our Head Curator, Geoff Belknap, will explore how the museum—along with the wider Science Museum Group—has developed strategies to catalogue and digitise large photographic archives, making them accessible to a wide audience. We will explore the role of both large-scale digitisation pipelines and in-depth, volunteer-led digitisation projects.

Focusing on the Daily Herald Archive at the National Science and Media Museum, the session will explore the question of how to make large museum collections available online to the public.
