Biography

Paul is a Chartered Physiotherapist with a broad range of clinical experience primarily within the field of musculoskeletal (MSK) practice in a variety of clinical settings ranging from semi-professional sport to the NHS. He has held the position of Clinical Lead Physiotherapist in Lower Limb at a local NHS Foundation Trust and has been a senior MSK Physiotherapist at 3 large NHS Organisations. He has extensive experience of acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions in the following clinical areas - Orthopaedic Gymnasium; Shoulder Rehabilitation; Chronic Pain; Spinal; Hands & Plastics and Pilates. He also has a breadth of clinical experience across the breadth of physiotherapy practice in the following clinical areas; Orthopaedics (Elective & Trauma); Paediatrics; Acute Neurology; Acute Medicine; Stroke Rehabilitation; Respiratory Care; Intermediate & Community Care. He continues to work clinically in addition to his academic work. 

He has been a previous representative for the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).

Paul has worked with in consultation with local and national clinical stakeholders in designing new academic provision around advanced practice (AP) and emerging roles within physiotherapy practice such as First Contact Practitioner (FCP) where he is the programme lead.
