Biography
Professor of Bioinformatics and Biomedical Data Science with expertise in bioinformatics, biomedical data science, FAIR data, and AI for healthcare. My research focuses on developing reproducible computational methods, FAIR research data management, and digital research infrastructure to support biomedical and health research.
I am ELIXIR-UK Training Coordinator, leading national and international initiatives to advance FAIR data stewardship, bioinformatics, and research data management training. My research interests include biomedical data science, machine learning, genomics, digital health, FAIR workflows, and the application of AI to biomedical research.
I work closely with academic, healthcare, and industry partners to develop innovative computational approaches and promote open, reproducible, and FAIR research. My current activities include leading and contributing to UKRI, ELIXIR, Innovate UK, and international collaborative projects supporting biomedical data science, digital health, and AI-enabled research.
