Biography
After completing a Diploma of Higher Education in Adult Nursing in 2006 I worked as an Intensive Care staff nurse in Leicester before going on to complete the shortened BSc (Hons) Midwifery in 2011. From here I worked for 8 years as a qualified midwife in hospitals within West Yorkshire with an interest in intrapartum care.
Alongside this I completed my MSc in Health and Community Care at Leeds Beckett University in 2017 before commencing a PhD at the University of Huddersfield in 2019.
I began my career as a lecturer in 2019 at the University of Leeds where I was module lead for one of the first year undergraduate modules and then came to the University of Bradford as an Assistant Professor.
I am now Postgraduate lead for Midwifery at the University of Bradford and module lead for one of our pre-registration first year modules. I have interests in simulation, teaching pedagogies and enhanced maternal care.
