Biography

David is an experienced musculoskeletal (MSK) practitioner having worked in private practice, professional football and within several large teaching hospitals. David has experience of hand therapy and orthopaedic rotations but the majority of his expertise is focused on MSK outpatient practice. David has worked in A&E, community and orthopaedic clinics and led on several services including ACL and post-op shoulder rehabilitation.  

In 2015 David successfully completed a National Institute of Health Research funded masters of Research in Clinical Practice (MResCP). He started his transition into academia in 2015, working initially as a clinical academic split role before moving into academia full time in 2016. 

David has taught on both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and has previously led on the development of a postgraduate Advanced Clinical Practice MSK pathway. He is a fellow of the Higher Education Authority and has in interest in physical activity promotion, MSK practice and research methods. He is the current programme lead for the integrated masters in sports and exercise physiotherapy at the University of Bradford.
