Dr. Amna Qureshi

Biography

Dr Amna Qureshi is an Assistant Professor in Cybersecurity at the Department of Computer Science of the University of Bradford. She is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). Before joining the University of Bradford, Amna worked as a Senior Researcher at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain. Her research interests focus on designing, analysing, and implementing cryptographic protocols with security and privacy guarantees using concepts of applied cryptography, distributed systems, game theory, and logic programming.

Research

Dr Amna Qureshi's research area is cybersecurity, mainly focused on designing and developing secure and privacy-preserving protocols within distributed systems and future networking technologies, including IoT, cloud computing, and blockchain. She is an active researcher with 25+ peer-reviewed journals and international conferences in systems security and privacy. She is also a reviewer of articles in various JCR-indexed scientific journals and a programme committee member at various international conferences. In 2018, she received an advanced cybersecurity research team excellence grant from the Spanish National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE) to perform research in the sphere of cybersecurity.
