Biography

I completed my Undergraduate Degree at Sheffield Hallam University, where I was awarded a Bachelors with Honours in Diagnostic Radiography. After completing my registration with the HCPC, I began my career as a Diagnostic Radiographer at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHSFT. During this time, I gained invaluable experience in a range of modalities and built on the foundations and principles I learnt in my Undergraduate degree.

I continued in my role as a Diagnostic Radiographer for a year, before progressing in my career and securing a role as a Senior Diagnostic Radiographer, specialising in CT. I gained further experience and responsibilities during this role where I became a Student Assessor and Clinical Mentor, supporting the preceptorship of newly qualified and existing radiographers. Alongside my substantive position, I continued to work as a Locum Radiographer, working across Trusts in Yorkshire and the North West.

I embarked upon my new career in academia in 2021, as a Clinical Teacher in Diagnostic Radiography, following my postgraduate studies. I am enthusiastic and passionate in ensuring students are provided with quality education, preparing them for a successful transition into professional practice.

In 2023 I was appointed as Director and UK Council representative for the Yorkshire and North Trent region for the Society and College of Radiographers. During my tenure I aim to engage under-represented groups.
