University of Bradford ranked number one for Practice Placement satisfaction.

Published:

The University of Bradford has ranked number one in the UK for Undergraduate Nursing and Midwifery placement satisfaction.

The ranking is based on feedback from final-year students who completed the annual in 2016. This accomplishment follows the news that our Nursing and Midwifery programmes achieved an overall satisfaction rating of between 94% - 100%.

Practice Placements

Practice placements enable students to learn and work in the contextual setting of a clinical practice. They are an integral aspect of the University’s Faculty of Health Studies’ programmes, accounting for up to 50% of each student’s credits. Practice-based learning provides students with essential “real life” work experience, which helps them to prepare for a career in Health and Social Care.

The University of Bradford works with local and regional NHS Trusts to provide placement opportunities for students.

“Extremely Proud”

Pam Bagley, Dean of the Faculty of Health Studies, said of the announcement, “the data is sufficiently large to have allowed this analysis of Nursing and Midwifery against other programmes. We and our practice partners should feel extremely proud to have achieved this top performance in the UK.”

The was launched on 30 January, for completion by final-year undergraduate students.
