Visual electrodiagnostic clinic

The Visual Electrodiagnostic Testing Unit offers a range of key diagnostic tests that form part of the assessment of both children and adult patients who may be suffering from a variety of hereditary or acquired eye disorders.

Testing includes:

  • visual evoked potential (VEP) recording
  • pattern and flash electro-retinography (ERG)
  • electro-oculography (EOG)

What to expect

If you have been referred to our unit and would like to know more about what to expect prior to your visit, we have a video specifically designed to explain this to our younger patients.

Referral to our clinic is via your ophthalmologist (NHS or private).
