Equality, diversity and inclusion

The University of Bradford welcomes everyone and supports an inclusive study and work environment.

It is our commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion that has led to us being crowned University of the Year in 2024 in the Social Mobility Awards and placed top of the Social Mobility Index rankings for four consecutive years.

Our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy

As a university, we work towards being an exemplar for EDI values. Through our strategy, we aim to accelerate equality for all.

Access and Participation Plan (APP)

We work collaboratively with key partners to remove the barriers to Higher Education (HE) which students from under-represented groups face.

Go Higher West Yorkshire

We are proud to be founding members of Go Higher West Yorkshire (GHWY), a formal consortium set up and funded by us alongside 12 other Higher Education providers. It supports collaborative working to reduce long-standing inequalities in access to and success in higher education.

The core function of GHWY is to help us with collaborative Access and Participation Plan/Statement activity in our local area.
