Future programmes

Future Programmes is a series of webinar streams, each focusing on a specific subject area.

Each webinar will be delivered by leading academics with the aim of inspiring, engaging and informing students (Year 12/13/Access to HE) who are considering University/Higher Education as a possible pathway on completion of their Level 3 studies.

By completing one of the Future Programme Schemes, you can earn 8 UCAS points towards your application to a qualifying course at The University of Bradford.

What you can do

There are five streams, with four webinars in each stream. The Future Programmes offered in Autumn 2024 were:

Future Nursing Professionals

The Future Nursing Professionals programme has been created to be accessible to a wide audience with no previous study experience required who may be interested in: 

  • BSc (Hons) Children's Nursing
  • BSc (Hons) Mental Health Nursing
  • BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing
  • MNurse Adult/Mental Health  
  • MNurse Children's/Mental Health

Future Business Leaders

The Future Business Leaders programme has been created to be accessible to a wide audience with no previous study experience required who may be interested in: 

  • BSc (Hons) Accounting & Finance
  • BSc (Hons) Business and Management
  • BSc (Hons) Economics
  • BSc (Hons) International Business & Management
  • BSc (Hons) Marketing

Future Psychologists

The Future Psychologists programme has been created to be accessible to a wide audience with no previous study experience required who may be interested in: 

  • BSc (Hons) Psychology
  • BSc (Hons) Psychology and Criminology
  • BSc (Hons) Psychology with Counselling

Future Lawyers

The Future Lawyers programme has been created to be accessible to a wide audience with no previous study experience required who may be interested in: 

  • Law LLB
  • Law with Business and Management LLB

Future Life Science Professionals

The Future Life Science Professionals programme has been created to be accessible to a wide audience with no previous study experience required who may be interested in: 

  • BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science
  • BSc (Hons) Chemistry
  • BSc (Hons) Forensic Science
  • BSc (Hons) Healthcare Science
  • MPharm (Hons) Pharmacy
  • BSc (Hons) Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Science

If you’d like to attend any of the Future Programmes in Autumn 2024, register your interest via the form.

Please note that we will deduct a maximum of 16 UCAS points from any offer, so if we've already given you additional UCAS points as part of the Progression Scheme or for an event you've attended in the past, you might not be eligible for an additional 8 points from this scheme.

We can only deduct UCAS points from your offer if you are studying a qualification on the UCAS tariff.

UCAS points cannot be used towards BSc Clinical Sciences, Optometry or any Foundation Year or Integrated Foundation course, including Foundation in Clinical Sciences and Medicine.
