Inter-library loans of Special Collections

We are happy to consider requests for Inter-Library Loan of Special Collections items.

All such loans are at the discretion of the Special Collections Librarian and are for reference use only.

We will consider lending:

• Printed books with "Reference" status.
• Pamphlets.

Sorry, we cannot lend:

• Archives or manuscripts.
• Printed books with "Supervised" status.
• Ephemera.
• Maps.
• Material which we consider to be fragile or which has significant provenance.
• Material in high demand in the Reading Room or which we require to operate our services e.g. bibliographies.

Please request your loan via your own academic or public library service.

To borrow Special Collections items for exhibitions or other purposes, please contact the University Archivist, directly.
