Biography

Dr. Sarah Shorrock is a lecturer and researcher in the Department of Sociology and Criminology. Her teaching and research interests focus upon multi-agency safeguarding, particularly the role of Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hubs (MASH), and how risk is identified and managed. Sarah's work has involved working with practitioners from the police, health, social care, education and third sector organisations. Research has also involved working with individuals with lived experience, with projects often being developed collaboratively with organisations or individuals with lived experience. Sarah has been part of an international research team investigating responses to domestic abuse during COVID - DAHLIA-19 and contributed to a UNICEF report: Action to End Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation. She is also supervising a PhD looking at sex trafficking between the UK and Romania.
