Biography
Gail Mountain is Professor of Applied Dementia Research in the Centre for Applied Dementia Studies, at the University of Bradford. She also holds honorary contracts at the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University. Gail worked as an occupational therapist for over 13 years before commencing a research career. Her clinical background has informed much of her research and in particular that which has involved collaborations with engineering and design. She has led several large consortium based projects funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council. Sher has also led projects funded by MRC and NIHR to conduct studies into maintenance of wellbeing in later life, including for people living with dementia.
