Biography

My research interests involve attempting to uncover the complex relationship between concussion and pain, and the negative effects that are so commonly associated with both. By better understanding the processes involved in negative outcomes such as poorer mental health, impaired cognitive ability, and reduced quality of life, we are in a better position to support those that have sustained concussion, are in physical pain, or both.

I am now looking to investigate the negative impact of heading footballs and what we can change to make football safer, particularly for children where their brains are still developing.
