Prospective students invited to campus

Published:

The University of Bradford is hosting its first physical open day since the covid-19 pandemic began.

Prospective students and their families are invited to look round the campus on Saturday October 16 to find out more about the courses and support on offer.

Ailie Ferarri, Associate Director of Advertising, Marketing and Student Insight at the University of Bradford Said: “We are really excited to open our doors and welcome prospective students and their families and friends on to campus. Our virtual open days have had great feedback but we know nothing can replace the excitement of experiencing a university campus and meeting students and staff in person.

“We have lots planned including campus and accommodation tours, talks on finance and student support, and the opportunity to meet academics to find out more about the courses and facilities we offer. We are also really excited to have hands-on activities for visitors to have a go at such as tackling climate change in our crisis games scenario, learning what to do if someone goes into cardiac arrest and dissecting our human patient simulator.”

The open day is suitable for everyone with quiet spaces available for those who would like to use them and options available for a more tailored visit to meet individual’s needs. There will be lots of information for parents and the opportunity to ask questions throughout the day. Safety measures will be in place such as limited group sizes, encouraging face coverings where possible and social distancing in crowded places.

Ailie adds: “Even though we are very pleased to be welcoming visitors back on to campus, we know our Virtual Open Days may still work better for some which is why we have taken the decision to hold a combination of both virtual and physical open days. So, if you are considering going into higher education and want to discover what options are available, I would really encourage you to seize the opportunity and book on to one of our open days.”

The Saturday 16 October Open Day runs 9am – 4pm with a morning and afternoon session. To book on and for more information visit the website
