Basic Phlebotomy Skills Course 3- 4 October 2018

The University of Bradford are running a 2 day course in October to train in phlebotomy, the process of making an incision in a vein with a needle.

The Basic Phlebotomy Course covers the theory behind phlebotomy and provides participants with an opportunity to develop their practical skills. It is delivered by Phlebotomy Training Services: the first company in the UK to hold an accredited certificate. No previous experience is required for this course.

The course will look at the theory behind phlebotomy and participants will develop thier practical skills using the most up to date techniques and equipment.

The course covers all of the competencies set out in CH132 (National Occupational Standard for Phlebotomy). PTS use safety equipment in all of their training in accordance with the requirements of the Health & Saftey (Sharp Instruments in Healthcare Regulations) 2013. Once you have completed this training you will have all of the skills and knowledge necessary to be able to work as a phlebotomist.

The course will be held on the 3rd and 4th October starting at 8.45am. There will be no more than 10 participants on the course.
