Career development for Technicians

We believe that every member of staff is responsible for their own personal development and keeping their professional skills and knowledge up to date. Career development is also one of the four key cornerstones of the Technician Commitment.

To support the development of all our colleagues, the University of Bradford has a range of internal training courses, which can help our staff to develop skills across a wide range of areas, including skills that may not relate directly to their day-to-day roles. This knowledge can help staff to develop professionally and progress their personal career plans.

Further information about the staff development courses offered by the University can be found on the People and Organisational Development SharePoint intranet site.

Staff may have specific or specialist training requirements and, where appropriate, may need to consider using an external training provider. The member of staff should speak to their line manager in the first instance about how to request this.

There may also be opportunities for secondments as well as information on new job opportunities, visit our Jobs at The University of Bradford website to find further information about current opportunities.
