Module Aims       

This module aims to extend your knowledge and understanding of the status, structure and cultures of organisations and how these may influence career choice and inform professional behaviours.
The module complements learning from the Professional Career Management module and will assist you in identifying key employability skills and career management skills and planning that you can develop through the placement.
On successful completion of the module, you will be able to reflect on and evaluate the specific organisational nature of the placement and your own performance within that context.

Outline Syllabus   

Organisation types, commercial awareness, organisation structures, work cultures, common business practices and professional values and behaviours.
Management of self, managing impact of self on others, personal and professional skills development, challenging own aspirations, placement and career goal setting and action planning, management and review of own performance demonstrated through a reflective learning diary.
