A competent swimmer is classed as an individual who can comfortably swim two consecutive lengths (50 meters in total), on their front without stopping or standing on the floor.

Children under the age of 16 cannot use the pool without a supervising adult who must be over the age of 18. The adult responsible must maintain supervision at all times and be within reach of the child/children that have little or no swimming ability i.e., None and weak swimmers.

Individuals aged 16 can use the pool unaccompanied but are unable to supervise minors.

Responsible adult over 18 is defined as someone who is accountable and reliable for the safety of the people/children they are supervising in whatever activity they are doing.
