What is Triple Crown accreditation?

Let's start with accreditation. An accreditation is a mark of recognition from a third-party organisation.

In higher education, it shows a course – or in this case, a school – meets specific, high standards. Those standards relate to teaching, research, student results, student quality, career development, curriculum, ethics, diversity and overall school quality.

'Triple Crown' accreditation is specific to business schools, like the School of Management at Bradford. It means the school has accreditations from three major international organisations:

AMBA (Association of MBAs)

AMBA recognises achievement in postgraduate programmes, especially MBAs. It assesses business schools' real-world learning outcomes, curriculum design and global networks. It's awarded to just one in 50 business schools worldwide.

EQUIS (EFMD Quality Improvement System)

EQUIS evaluates business schools based on international reach. It assesses how well they are run, the diversity of their students, their links to the business world and their commitment to social responsibility.

AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business)

AACSB acknowledges business schools' education, impact, innovation and continuous improvement. Accreditation is awarded to schools that produce students with the vital skills and knowledge to enter the workforce.

What does Triple Crown accreditation mean for me?

The Triple Crown is a big deal on paper. But it'll also have a huge impact on your studies. Our School of Management degrees offer:

A real-world curriculum

We have an advisory board full of industry leaders who advise on our curriculum. So, our topics are up-to-date with what's happening in the world right now, covering AI, entrepreneurship, sustainability, data, digital resilience, global business and the circular economy.

Top academics

AACSB places strong emphasis on faculty expertise and research, so you can be confident your teaching is delivered by experts.

Hands-on, employer-focused learning

Triple Crown business schools work closely with industry to grant work-ready skills and study real business case studies.

The main reason Bradford stood out for me was the Triple Crown accreditation – around 1% of business schools have this worldwide! This is an amazing thing that allows you to stand out to employers on your CV.

What other accreditation does the School of Management have?

Our Triple Crown status isn't all you could benefit from. The School of Management at Bradford is recognised by other leading industry bodies.

Depending on your chosen course, your degree could be accredited by leading industry organisations such as:

  • The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM)
  • The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD)
  • The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
  • The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
  • The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW)
