Public Health and Community Wellbeing

Our Public Health and Community Wellbeing course has been developed in partnership with City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council and is well suited to those with an interest in preventing health problems, tackling health inequalities and educating communities about health issues.

You will be taught by a dynamic team of academics from diverse professional backgrounds, including nursing, social work, psychology and epidemiology. Our academics are actively involved in current public health research.

I have absolutely loved my placements. We were able to pick organisations in areas that we were passionate about and therefore really wanted to work with. I did a placement with a charity called HOPE. This organisation supported people in the community with mental health issues. I ran support groups and did home assessments. My current placement at St Anne’s in Leeds. I have been lucky enough to secure a part-time job as a Community Care Officer.
