Economics

Our Economics programme will give you the skills you need for a career in the financial sector, or to pursue a managerial career.

You’ll develop a strong working knowledge of a range of economics theories and practices and study core Economics modules. As well as this, you’ll have the opportunity to study optional modules from around the School of Management or take a placement year in industry with one of our partners.

We are one of the few universities in the world to hold the 'triple-crown' of accreditations: AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS.

I knew I wanted to study Economics when I was first introduced to the subject. I enjoyed debating and I was good at maths, so economics was the perfect blend of the two. You can argue about current news, politics and pretty much anything through economic theory using real statistics and data to prove your point - I love that. It means that if you did the correct research you could build a strong case for your argument.
