Archaeology

Archaeology is the study of people: their societies and their environments.

Our course is multidisciplinary and research-led and bridges the sciences and the humanities, meaning you’ll graduate as a well-rounded professional with a range of career paths available to you.

We offer a unique work placement, a one-year professional training scheme, which has run successfully for over 25 years.

Archaeology isn’t just excavations but a variety of lab based courses. I chose this course because it allows students to do a combination of both scientific and non-scientific modules. Students have the flexibility to explore many different areas within archaeology.
