Chaplaincy and multi-faith team
Support, celebration and exploration.
If you're in need of pastoral care, spiritual or religious support, our chaplaincy is here for you, whether you are a student or staff member, from all faiths and none.
Our Co-ordinating Chaplain, Claire, from the Church of England tradition can support you or put you in touch with a Faith Advisor from the Muslim, Hindu, Sikh, Humanist or Buddhist faith if that is more appropriate.
The city and University of Bradford is a community built on rich heritage, diversity and mutual respect of all religions and belief systems. We can help you find somewhere to pray on campus, in local churches, synagogues, Gudwara, temples or mosques.
The Chaplaincy aims to be a place of hospitality to those of all faiths and philosophies and none, come and make yourself at home.

How we can support you
We are here to help you explore faith, celebrate all the major festivals and offer you a listening ear, whatever the concern.
As part of the Student Life Team, we can help you access support through the MyBradford student support team generalist and specialist advisors. You can drop in to see the Chaplain on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday in the Multi-Faith Space in Student Central (0.49) or book a one to one appointment through chaplaincy@bradford.ac.uk.
You don’t need to be ‘religious’ or in crisis to call in, the Multi-Faith Space biscuit tin is always well stocked, come in for a pause, for peace, community and laughter.
Come and ask any questions you like without fear of judgement, preaching or criticism.
We learn and grow alongside one another in a safe, inclusive space.
Our chaplains and multi-faith advisors can support you or accompany you when:
- you’re finding university life difficult and need someone to talk to,
- you need time to think,
- you need help in times of crisis,
- you need to make a decision and need support in doing so,
- you regret what has happened and need to move on,
- someone has died and you need support,
- you want to deepen your spiritual experience,
- you have personal struggles or relationship problems.
