Dr Kan Zhou is a post-doctoral research assistant in Civil Engineering at University of Bradford, UK. He took a BEng and a BEc from Tsinghua University in 2012, and a PhD in 2017. He has an expertise in full-scale tests and computer-based simulations on steel-concrete composite structures, particularly on their structural performance subjected to fire. He is now working under an EPSRC project titled ‘REBUILD: REgenerate BUILDings and products for a circular economy’. He authored/co-authored over 25 journal and conference papers. He also co-authored one book on the topic of fire safety design of steel-concrete composite structures.
