Biography

Jenny is a Research Fellow at the University of Bradford. She is a Nurse and has worked with people living with dementia and their families since 1984, which has included previously working as a Consultant Nurse within a specific service for younger people with dementia and as a Senior Lecturer at the Association for Dementia Studies at the University of Worcester. Her most recent role has been in a development post in which she supported the development of services and specialist trained staff through the care pathway for younger people with dementia and their families. Jenny completed her PhD studies in 2016 during which she explored the family experience of behavioural variant frontotemporal dementia commonly occurring at a younger age. She has particular interest in Young Onset Dementia and in Rare Dementias, as well as therapeutic practice with families living with dementia including the person with the diagnosis.

She has specialist interest  in young onset dementia, in working with families and in working with people experiencing less common forms of dementia.
