 Jules has worked in the NHS and third sector since 2001 working in mental health, substance misuse and stroke services in a variety of project management and research roles. Jules has worked on a diverse range of research studies including stroke research and mental health research with younger people, adults and older people and dementia research in care homes.Jules joined the Centre for Applied Dementia Studies in April 2017 to work as a Research Assistant on the ‘Journeying through Dementia’ research study. She worked on NIDUS (New Interventions for independence in Dementia) between April 2018 and March 2019.


Jules joined the School of Dementia studies in April 2017 and is currently working on the Journeying through Dementia research study; a large-scale research study that aims to find out whether attending a 12-week community programme has a positive impact on the quality of life for people who are living with the early stages of dementia. She is lead for Public and Patient Involvement (PPI) on the study and is working on the fidelity assessment and qualitative sub-study. The study is funded by the National Institute for Health Research - Health Technology Assessment (14/140/80).
