Biography

I am an International Social Worker, Practice Educator and Social Development Practitioner specialising in work with children and young people. I qualified as a social worker in 2002 and practised mainly in children and families settings including: hospital social work, youth offending team, children with disabilities, fostering recruitment and supervision, referral and assessment, child protection and children in care. I worked as a Social Worker, Senior Social Worker, Project Manager and latterly as Practice Learning Manager.  I have taught social work and social policy courses at universities in the UK and Ghana. 

My research covers social work management, childhood and children's rights, micro-finance, youth entrepreneurship, public policy effect on children and young people, ethics, and social work in West Africa.
