Biography

I have recently worked for the Premier League as an Equality Assessor responsible for conducting equality audits within football clubs. Alongside this, I am also a member of the Independent Football Ombudsman as a equality and diversity expert panel member. Previously employed as a Social Worker within various settings and organisations. Mental Health support worker at the University Disability office supporting students with mental difficulties. Probation officer where I undertook the writing of pre-sentence reports and held a caseload, supervising offenders on a range of community sentences. Therapeutic social worker at the Family Welfare Association, which offered non-directive therapeutic intervention to young people who have suffered sexual abuse, family support social worker supporting families in need, field work child and families social worker carrying a caseload in a children and families team, drug and alcohol worker supporting adults with drug and alcohol dependency, residential children’s social worker working with children in local authority care, rape crisis counsellor offering counselling to survivors of rape and sexual abuse and as a community development worker working to engage ethnic minority communities Other previous work experience includes working at the Leeds College of Building as the Equality and Diversity Officer where I was responsible for undertaking all responsibilities relating to equal opportunities for both staff and students. I have also worked at a drug agency as an external consultant setting up and supervising staff on the Asian project staff.Undertaken voluntary work in Romania and India.Previously employed as a Social Worker within various settings and organisations.
