Biography

Dr. Chakib Kara-Zaitri holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Probabilistic Risk Assessment from the University of Bradford, UK. He has 35 years lecturing and research experience. He is a Senior Lecturer in Risk and Reliability at the School of Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Informatics at the University of Bradford, UK. His research interests are focused on Risk, Reliability and Process Safety Engineering, with particular application to chemical, water and food industries. His latest work is around the development of advanced Reverse Osmosis methodologies for water treatment at low energy and therefore costs, and with significant outcomes for public health.
